Geobags

Geobags are large geosynthetics designed to hold up to 5 tons of soil. Once filled, they are lifted with a crane or helicopter and placed at the site of collapsed dikes (breaches).

Geobags are made from high-strength geotextile that is stabilized against ultraviolet rays.

These materials (geobags) should not be confused with "big bags," which are made from lightweight, non-stabilized fabric and have a lifting capacity of only 1/4 ton. Their use is strictly industrial.

Geobags have a capacity ranging from 0.5 m³ to 3 m³ and are designed to be filled either by an excavator or through hopper feeding.
